EYEfi mobile® - What is it?
EYEfi® mobile brings to life all of the inherent design aspects of the EYEfi® service suite.
Designed primarily for Emergency Services, Incident Response and Major Events, its uses are many and varied. The service has full GPS mapping and IP Telemetry built-in making it ideal for the real-time retrieval of images and transport management logistics.
Users of the system know exactly where the vehicle fleet is located at a glance, as well as access to real-time and historical camera images from the vehicle, all within their EYEfi® access workstation.
Located in the vehicle is the EYEfi® Network Gateway Device found in all EYEfi® devices, which transmits video and telemetry information to the EYEfi® Image Distribution Centre (IDC) where users can view the images in real-time using either the web browser client, or a dedicated EYEfi® access workstation.
The EYEfi® mobile Network Gateway Device in the vehicle can also provide the option of live images and VOIP communication to the driver on a PDA, allowing the driver to roam within several hundred meters of the vehicle and have full communication with the customers CCTV Control Room, and control over the camera.
